Glenn W. Lowthorp, of Devine, Texas, passed away Wednesday, November 1, 2017 in San Antonio, Texas, at the age of 72.
He was born May 3, 1945 in San Antonio, Texas to Paul G. and Janet (Wallace) Lowthorp.
On March 18, 1989 he married the former Elaine Ersch.
He graduated with the Class of 1964 of Flourbluff High School, where he served as drum major for all four years.
Glenn was a former member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Corpus Christi, to which he held near and dear to his heart.
Glenn proudly served in the United States Air Force from 1964 to 1968.
In 2007 he retired from Corpus Christi Army Depot in Corpus Christi.
Glenn Lowthorp is preceded in death by his father, Paul G. Lowthorp.
He is survived by his wife, Elaine Lowthorp; his mother, Janet Lowthorp; son, James Paul Lowthorp; stepson Jason Lochte and wife M’Rhea; brothers, Paul Lowthorp and wife Sandy, Bruce Lowthorp and wife Kay, David Lowthorp and wife Jessica; sister Laurie Lowthorp; and grandchildren Wesley and Jake Lowthorp.
Visitation was held Tuesday, November 7, 2017 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at the Black Creek Baptist Church in Devine, Texas. Funeral service was held following the visitation at 11:00 am at the church.
Interment with military honor will be held Wednesday, November 8, 2017 at 10:15 am at the Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio, Texas.
Glenn took great pride in caring for the land he shared with his wife in Devine, and enjoyed country living to the fullest.
