Gladden Clyde “Rusty” McAnelly Jr., age 95 of Pearsall, Texas passed away Sunday, June 11, 2017, in Devine.
He was born on March 11, 1922 in Yancey to parents, Gladden Clyde Sr. and Hallie Laura (Nixon) McAnelly.
He was a member of Frio Lodge #399 AF & AM and the First Baptist Church of Pearsall.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Briscoe McAnelly; his parents; brothers, J.W. “Dick” McAnelly, C.W. “Dookie” McAnelly and John E. McAnelly; sisters, Dora Mae Faseler and Hallie Lorine McAnelly.
Rusty is survived by his daughters, Mary Nicole Horn Crenwelge of Uvalde and Terrie Ellen Bledsoe of Pearsall, sister Anna Lee Strait of Pearsall; sisters-in-law, Auldine McAnelly, Elizabeth McAnelly and Mary B. Briscoe; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, June 14, 2017 in the Hurley Funeral Home Chapel from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 15, 2017, at the First Baptist Church in Pearsall with interment to follow at the Yancey Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Trace Horn, Colton Crenwelge, Mac Bledsoe, Tyler Seiler, Ben Briscoe and Bill Fronzek with Masonic Graveside Services under the Auspices Frio Lodge #399, AF & AM.
