Freshman Warhorses drop season finale to Carrizo Springs

The freshman Warhorse basketball team couldn’t overcome a slow offensive start which had them scoring only 4 first quarter points and down by 3 points. The scoring picked up, however, and Devine had a 30 to 27 lead entering the final quarter but eventually lost the close ballgame 42 to 40.
This game may have gone done as a loss, but the season was definitely successful for this freshman group of players. “I couldn’t have dream of a better group of young men to coach. We were 22-5 on the year and won three tournament championships; not a bad season at all,” stated Coach Quenton Sanders. “I look forward to watching these men continue to develop in life and basketball. I will never forget these guys they are all special to me.”
Dalton Kramer led all scorers with 10 points followed closely by Sergio Martinez and Jake Harrell with 9 points each. Cash Walker had 8 points and Kameron Adams rounded out the scoring with 4 points. Other members contributing on the 22-win season were Blaine Miller, Caeden Alvarez, Sage Ornelas, William Benoit, and Isaiah Rejino.
