Earnest “Earnie” M. Wilkins, age 80, of Bigfoot, Texas passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 30, 2017 in San Antonio, Texas.
Earnie was in the U.S. Navy and served during the Korean War. He and his wife owed Design Carpets and Interiors in Leon Valley, Texas for many years. They retired to enjoy farming in Bigfoot, Texas.
Earnie is survived by his wife of 63 years, Peggy Wilkins; son Mike Wilkins and wife Mary Ann of Bigfoot, Texas; son Patrick Wilkins of Pearsall, Texas; daughter-in-law Susan Ecroyd and husband Glen of Lucedale, Mississippi; two brothers Earl Wilkins and wife Flow Wilkins of Canyon Lake, Wayne Bare and wife Vicky of Van, Texas; sister Loretta Thompson; a special niece Ladonna Flores and husband Joe of Corpus Christi; two granddaughters, and two great-grandchildren and many other close relatives and friends.
At the request of the relatives no services will be held. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Longview Cemetery in Bigfoot, Texas.
