DMS cross country roundup

The Devine Middle School Colts and Fillys made an early morning trip to Comfort last Saturday to participate in the Bobcat Invitational on the campus of Comfort High School. Devine’s thirty-three competitors blended in with 434 other runners representing fifteen different schools.
A majority of the Colts and Fillys runners improved their times from the Devine Meet that was held a week earlier. With Poteet’s meet this weekend as the last tune-up before District in Lytle on October 11, the following runners will continue to put in tough practices leading up to the final two weeks of the season.

Poteet Meet Saturday
Poteet Strawberry Festival Grounds on Highway 16 is this week’s venue for the middle school Cross Country teams. The course includes grass, asphalt, hills, and sand. Start times are 8th grade girls/boys at 10:30am, 7th grade girls/boys at 11:00am. Poteet will roll times ahead of schedule if able to do so. Please arrange to arrive a little early just in case.
