Devine Police Report Sept. 28-Oct. 4


Sept. 28
12:53 PM – A black wallet with personal items was found in the 600 block of E. Hondo Ave. The wallet was returned to owner with property receipt.
10:43 PM – Officers dispatched to the 300 block of Hayden Ave. in reference to a window screen that had been tampered with. Officers checked the property; all clear.
10:48 PM – Officers dispatched to the 1100 block of Warhorse Dr. in reference to a Dodge Durango driving around without lights. Unable to locate.
11:25 PM – Report of loud music in the 500 block of Sunshine. Unable to locate.
Sept. 30
12:35 AM – Complainant reported a gray SUV all over the roadway on IH-35 SB. Officer made location; unable to locate.
2:13 AM – Officers observed a vehicle commit a traffic violation in the 100 block of S. Teel Dr. The male driver was found to be intoxicated and was jailed.
2:25 PM – Officer dispatched to the 300 block of Renfro in reference to a possible disturbance. A subject was outside yelling and having a conversation. Officer made contact with a female who advised there was no disturbance that she had just received a phone call from her mom telling her that her aunt died and she was screaming “no.”
5:30 PM – A male subject at Walmart was cited for public intoxication and jailed.
7:30 PM – Complainant advised that he lost a bag from his motorcycle somewhere between Walmart and Brown Chevrolet.
7:39 PM – Officer dispatched to the 800 block of Warhorse Dr. in reference to criminal mischief at the old concession stand. The windows were spray painted.
Oct. 1
6:59 AM – Complainant in the 600 block of Hickory Hwy. reported the theft of a vehicle. The vehicle was located with an ex-roommate. Charges declined.
Oct. 2
6:53 AM – Report of a male subject wearing a red shirt riding a bike who had been in the area of Zig Zag Ave. for a long time. Officer stopped the subject in the 200 block of Zig Zag; all was okay.
12:10 PM – Two male subjects were fishing in the pond at hole 13 at the Devine Golf Course. Officer asked the subjects to leave.
4:03 PM – Couple seen verbally arguing in a car in the 100 block of S. Teel Dr. Everything was okay.
4:45 PM – Over 650 people in attendance at National Night Out. Thank you Devine!
10:10 PM – Traffic lights malfunctioning at the intersection in the 400 block of W. Hondo Ave. TxDot notified.
11:22 PM – A male subject in the 100 block of S. Teel Dr. was arrested on a warrant for contempt of court and jailed.
Oct. 3
2:55 AM – Complainant reported a black truck all over the roadway on IH-35 NB. Unable to locate.
7:55 AM – A male subject in a dark shirt was at a store in the 100 block of S. Teel Dr. asking customers for money. Unable to locate.
8:24 AM – Complainant on Hondo Ave. reported a white male driving a tan Yukon with a back door open all over the roadway.
Oct. 4
12:55 AM – Officer noticed the back door of a Suburban in the 300 block of W. Moore Ave. was open with a subject laying inside. All was okay; the subject was the homeowner.
2:05 PM – Complainant in the 900 block of Libold Dr. advised he saw a female subject wearing a white shirt in a silver four-door car drive towards Warhorse Stadium. Caller believed she was looking in mailboxes. Officers made location and located the driver near the elementary school, and discovered she was part of elections; everything was okay.
7:00 PM – Complainant reported a storage unit being broken into and items taken. Subject was unsure of what items were taken. Property list left.
