Devine Police Report Oct. 26-Nov. 1


Oct. 26
1:10 AM – Officer dispatched to the 1000 block of E. Hondo Ave for a suspicious male subject on location. The subject was picked up by a local boarding house.
9:50 AM – A male subject wearing a gray shirt and blue jeans and a female subject wearing capris were walking down Lee Dr. possibly in a verbal dispute. Complainant advised she saw the male subject pull on the female subject’s shirt. Officer made location and everything was okay.
4:32 PM – Officer provided traffic control for a wide load on Hwy. 173 NB.
5:26 PM – Complainant on IH-35 NB reported a beige eco van swerving. Unable to locate.
7:15 PM – Vehicle stopped for a traffic violation in the 1000 block of E. Hondo Ave. A female subject was jailed for a Bexar County warrant and possession of a controlled substance PG1, 1-4 G. A male subject was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia and jailed for Bexar County and Medina County warrants and possession of a controlled substance PG 1, 1-4 G.
10:46 PM – Officers dispatched to the 1000 block of E. Hondo Ave. in reference to a male on location asking for money. Unable to locate.
10:59 PM – Three backpacks in the Devine athletic office had jewelry stolen from them while at an away game.
11:22 PM – Officers dispatched to the 200 block of W. Coker Ave. in reference to a female subject and a male subject in a verbal disturbance.
Oct. 27
12:00 PM – Complainant in the 600 block of E. Hondo Ave. advised six or seven people were walking through the field next to O’Reilly’s and believed they might be illegal aliens. Officers checked the area; unable to locate.
5:02 PM – Complainant in the 100 block of W. Colonial Pkwy. reported a male subject in a car made contact with driver. All was okay.
3:19 PM – Complainant in the 700 block of Gutierrez Ave. reported a gray Ford pickup speeding up and down the road. Unable to locate.
7:08 PM – Vehicle stopped for a traffic violation in the 100 block of Teel Dr. A male subject was jailed for an outstanding warrant.
10:32 PM – Vehicle stopped for a traffic violation in the 1200 block of W. Hondo Ave. A male subject had an active warrant for assault and was jailed.
Oct. 30
1:02 AM – Officer spotted a vehicle parked at a gas station in the 100 block of S. Teel Dr. for a long period of time. A fatigued driver was resting.
1:59 AM – Officer noticed a vehicle parked on the side of N. Windy Knoll Dr. with the passenger door open. All was okay; the homeowner was in the vehicle talking with the driver.
8:03 AM – Complainant reported a stalled vehicle in the 700 block of E. Hondo Ave. Was able to move out of the roadway; all was okay.
9:03 AM – Complainant reported clay rocks along the IH-35 access road and Hwy. 173 near Subway. TxDot was notified.
4:30 PM – Complainant in the 500 block of Melinda Dr. requested officers make location in reference to issues the complainant was having with his son. Complainant requested his son be removed from the home.
10:02 PM – Officers assisted DPS with a major accident on CR 773.
Oct. 31
1:45 AM – Complainant advised a vehicle was in the parking lot of a gas station in the 1000 block of E. Hondo Ave. A male subject was taking a nap before driving to Laredo.
11:17 AM – Complainant in the 600 block of E. Hondo Ave. advised two male subjects were walking in the area. Officer made location; unable to locate.
4:32 PM – Complainant on Colonial Pkwy. reported a white Dodge Ram pickup driven by an older Hispanic man with a cowboy hat was driving erratically and tried running her off the road.
8:52 PM – A citizen reported a couple on Howard Wallace were arguing. Officers made location and made contact with the couple, who denied a disturbance. No action taken.
Nov. 1
9:43 AM – Complainant in the 600 block of Howell Ave. believed she had vandals inside her home. Officer made location and found a raccoon inside the home.
7:21 PM – Vehicle stopped on Colonial Pkwy. for a traffic accident. A subject was in possession of drug paraphernalia, had warrants, was intoxicated, and was jailed.
10:30 PM – Officer assisted DPS with a DWI on College Ave.
