Devine Police Report June 30-July 6

June 30
11:49 AM – Vehicle stopped for a traffic violation in the 600 block of Hwy. 132 N. Drug paraphernalia was located inside the vehicle, and the male driver was cited and released.
12:27 PM – Complainant on SH IH-35 near mile marker 124 reported a red Ford truck running vehicles off the roadway and driving in the middle of the road. When officer located the vehicle, it was just passing the 122 exit. Frio County notified.
3:44 PM – Vehicle stopped for a traffic violation in the 1700 block of FM 2200. Drug paraphernalia was found in the vehicle, and the driver was cited and released. Charges pending on possession of a controlled substance.
9:15 PM – Hit and run of a parked vehicle in the Food King parking lot.
July 1
2:25 AM – Disturbance between a male subject and a female subject in the 500 block of N. Teel Dr. All was okay; they were not arguing.
8:04 PM – Complainant reported a tree branch in the road on Sayers Dr. Officer cleared the road.
July 2
4:49 AM – Complainant in the 300 block of S. Teel Dr. spoke to officer in reference to a disturbance with her boyfriend.
1:00 PM – Someone left a cell phone, rake, and a greeting card at the police department’s front door.
4:35 PM – Officer assisted the railroad police with a damaged utility pole.
8:38 PM – A black purse with a cell phone charger, shoes, and miscellaneous items were found at Corley and N. Transportation.
July 3
1:37 AM – Officers assisted the Medina County Sheriff’s Office with a disturbance between a male subject and a female subject in the 200 block of CR 777. The male subject was later arrested for being a felon in possession of a firearm.
7:43 AM – Complainant in the 500 block of Jack Nicklaus Dr. reported burglary of a truck. Forced entry was made into the tool box in the bed and two meters were missing. Attempted entry was made into the cab.
12:20 PM – Complainant in the 300 block of Briscoe Ave. reported a burglary. Forced entry was made, and a box containing a PlayStation4, an Apple TV streaming device, a Mac desktop, a miter saw, and a BB gun were taken.
2:40 PM – Complainant on IH-35 NB near mile marker 121 reported a white Chevy driving at a high rate of speed. Unable to locate.
3:35 PM – Complainant on IH-35 NB near mile marker 120 reported a white Dodge driving recklessly. Unable to locate.
9:38 PM – Complainant on IH-35 NB near mile marker 120 reported an 18-wheeler failing to maintain a lane. Officer was unable to cross the median due to a high volume of traffic.
11:26 PM – Vehicle stopped for a traffic violation in the 600 block of E. Hondo Ave. The male driver was found to have a suspended license and was cited and released.
July 4
9:08 AM – Complainant reported debris in the roadway on FM 463. Officer located the debris at mile marker 127 and removed it from the roadway.
July 5
9:44 AM – Four sections of fence at the cemetery were damaged. Approximate damage $1,500 to $2,000.
11:11 AM – Complainant at the Devine airport reported the tires were slashed on a parked vehicle. A light bar was damaged and a radio was taken.
6:08 PM – Officer assisted DPS in reference to a possible accident. Unable to locate.
8:40 PM – Complainant in the 400 block of W. Davis Ave. reported that someone took multiple items from his residence between 5:00 AM on July 2 and 8:30 PM on July 5. No forced entry observed.
10:10 PM – Officer assisted DPS with a multi-vehicle accident on SB IH-35 near mile marker 128. There were multiple injuries and one DOA.
July 6
1:04 PM – Vehicle stopped for a traffic violation in the 100 block of Dixon Dr. Drug paraphernalia was found in the vehicle, and the male driver was cited and released.
1:20 PM – Verbal disturbance between a male subject and a female subject at Walmart over the female subject bringing a pet into the store.
1:56 PM – Complainant reported an 18-wheeler with a black cab with a white box was driving recklessly and all over the roadway on SB IH-35. Last seen passing mile marker 124.
