Devine Police Report July 20-26


July 20
12:36 AM – Officer assisted DPS with traffic control for a major accident on IH-35 SB.
July 21
12:10 AM – Officer assisted Medina County Deputy with a traffic stop on CR 463 by providing cover and support.
2:42 AM – Officer observed a vehicle commit a traffic violation on IH-35 near mile marker 123. The male driver was found to have an open container of an alcoholic beverage and to be in possession of marijuana and was jailed.
9:35 PM – Officers dispatched to the 500 block of Hayden Ave. in reference to complainant’s adult son arguing with the family. The male subject was placed under an emergency detention and transported to Southwest General Hospital.
July 22
1:39 AM – An off-duty officer called in a reckless driver on IH-35 SB near mile marker 121. Officers observed the vehicle commit a traffic violation. The male driver was found to be intoxicated and was jailed.
12:21 PM – Complainant reported a blue van swerving on FM 3176. Unable to locate.
1:48 PM – Officer dispatched to IH-35 NB near mile marker 123 in reference to a female walking along the highway. Officer gave the subject a courtesy ride to her residence.
8:15 PM – Complainant reported losing her iPad at a location on E. Hondo Ave. The iPad was retrieved from the property and placed into evidence. Complainant will return to the city to pick it up.
10:10 PM – Complainant in the 500 block of W. Coker Ave. reported a suspicious male subject and female subject seen walking in the area.
July 23
2:28 AM – A male subject was on location in the 600 block of E. Hondo Ave. The subject was ID’d by police; all was okay.
4:45 AM – An adult male subject in the 100 block of S. Teel Dr. was placed under emergency detention and transported to Southwest General Hospital.
5:34 PM – Officer dispatched to the 300 block of N. Windy Knoll Dr. in reference to a black truck on location. Unable to locate.
6:25 PM – Complainant turned in a wallet he found in Pearsall. The owner was contacted and given back his property.
July 24
3:34 AM – Complainant in the 100 block of Dixon Dr. advised she could hear people talking outside her front door. Officers searched the area; unable to locate.
6:05 AM – Complainant in the 500 block of Hickory Hwy. reported the theft of a 2015 Chevrolet Silverado. Two juvenile males were apprehended and placed in juvenile detention.
6:39 AM – Complainant in the 200 block of CR 774 reported that her business had been entered and her van keys stolen. A Ford van was stolen. The vehicle was located in the 500 block of Hickory Hwy. Charges pending against two juvenile male offenders.
10:18 AM – Officers dispatched to store in the 1000 block of E. Hondo Ave. for an intoxicated male. The subject was highly intoxicated and was jailed.
4:18 PM – Complainant in the 1000 block of Malone Dr. believed he was being followed home by unknown subjects. All was okay.
6:51 PM – Complainant reported losing keys, phone, and a wallet at Walmart.
8:25 PM – Complainant reported a suspicious male at Walmart. She believes she has seen him before in HEB in Lytle a few months ago, and he kept following her throughout the store.
8:28 PM – Officer dispatched to the 600 block of Corley Dr. in reference to a neighbor hearing noises from inside a residence. A male subject and female subject were advised to leave.
11:00 PM – Report of a white truck at the back of the property of an abandoned house in the 700 block of Curtis Ave. Officer made location; all was okay.
July 25
1:36 PM – Officer dispatched to the Driscoll Public Library for suspicious activity. Officer made location and identified a male subject. All was okay.
3:57 PM – Officer dispatched to IH-35 NB for a reckless driver. The male driver was found to be intoxicated and was jailed.
July 26
2:15 AM – Officers ID’d three male subjects in a black Ford F-150 who were parked at a store in the 100 block of N. Teel Dr. after hours. One subject had an active warrant out of Bexar County and was jailed, while another subject was found to be in possession of brass knuckles and was jailed.
12:50 PM – Officers assisted with traffic control on Hwy. 173 N. and Warhorse Dr.
7:13 PM – Complainant reported a black Ford swerving in the 1000 block of E. Hondo Ave. Officers located the vehicle in the 100 block of W. Hondo Ave. and followed it to City limits. No violations observed.
9:40 PM – Officer dispatched to the 400 block of Cardinal Dr. in reference to a male in shorts and no shoes in the area who looked to be under the influence. Unable to locate.
