Devine Police Report Feb. 16-22

Feb. 16
1:50 AM – Vehicle stopped for a traffic violation in the 600 block of E. Hondo Ave. A male passenger was found to be in possession of approximately half a gram of meth and was jailed. The subject also had three municipal warrants. Another male subject had four municipal warrants and was also jailed.
5:00 PM – A key ring with nine keys were turned in.
5:40 PM – Complainant was upset with the service department of a business and was referred to small claims court.
6:57 PM – Complainant advised a male subject was making threatening comments toward employees.
10:55 PM – Complainant in the 400 block of W. Coker Ave. reported a person walking down the street yelling. Officers made location and spoke to a male subject. No action taken.
11:18 PM – Vehicle stopped for a traffic violation in the 300 block of W. Colonial Pkwy. The female driver was cited for driving without a driver’s license and released.
11:28 PM – Complainant in the 600 block of N. Windy Knoll reported hearing a voice in the area. Officer made location and patrolled the area.
Feb. 17
12:27 AM – Vehicle stopped for a traffic violation in the 100 block of Hwy. 132 N. The male driver was found to be in possession of less than two ounces of marijuana as well as drug paraphernalia. Charges pending.
9:42 AM – A male subject was in a fetal position near the roadway on SB IH-35 near mile marker 122. Officer gave the subject a courtesy ride. EMS was then requested and the subject was transported.
10:10 AM – Officer held accident scene on SB IH-35 and mile marker 124 while DPS attempted to catch up to vehicle involved in a hit-and-run accident. Officer stood by until assistance was no longer needed.
2:30 PM – Report of a one-vehicle rollover on SB IH-35 and mile marker 121. Dispatch later advised the vehicle rolled twice and continued to travel south. Notified Frio County.
10:41 PM – Vehicle stopped for a traffic violation in the 1300 block of Libold Dr. The male occupant was cited for having an open container of an alcoholic beverage and released.
11:50 PM – Complainant in the 200 block of College Ave. reported a vehicle windshield being broken. Owner of vehicle did not wish to pursue charges.
Feb. 18
2:15 PM – Officers dispatched to the 200 block of N. Windy Knoll for a female in the roadway. Officers made location, unable to locate.
2:45 PM – A male subject tried to hang himself at his girlfriend’s house on CR 7710 before leaving the location and walking to a business in the 100 block of IH-35 N. Officers made contact, and the male voluntarily went to the hospital with EMS.
5:30 PM – Officer dispatched to the 700 block of Rosemary St. for a male subject who was out of control. The subject pushed his mother onto the ground and knocked over his grandmother. The subject was possibly under the influence of drugs and left location prior to officer’s arrival. Charges pending for assault by contact – family violence.
7:16 PM – Officer observed a transaction in the Walmart parking lot. As he got closer to investigate, of the persons left on a motorcycle. As the officer got closer to the motorcycle, it rapidly accelerated. The vehicle stopped in the 1000 block of CR 6723. The male subject was charged with possession of a controlled substance PSG1 1-4 grams with intent to deliver, unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon, and evading arrest with a motor vehicle.
9:47 PM – Complainant in the 1000 block of Malone Dr. advised a resident and guests at the location were being extremely loud. Officers made contact with the resident. There was no loud noise prior to contact.
10:25 PM – Complainant in the 1000 block of Malone Dr. advised that a resident and guests were being loud again. Officers did not make contact again because the individuals were not being loud. Officer spoke the complainant, who was very upset and advised that tenants are not allowed to drink outside per the manager. The complainant was advised to contact the manager.
Feb. 19
11:50 AM – Officers dispatched to the 300 block of W. Colonial Pkwy in reference to a 911 hangup. Children accidentally dialed 911.
6:54 PM – Report of a suspicious Hispanic male in a white passenger vehicle in the 900 block of Libold Dr. Departed prior to officer’s arrival. Officer searched the area, unable to locate.
Feb. 20
1:07 PM – A wallet with a driver’s license, WIC card, and Social Security card was found and turned in. The owner was contacted and the wallet was retrieved.
11:07 PM – Complainant on Rosewood advised someone knocked on three windows.
11:21 PM – Complainant in the 300 block of Renfro Ave. advised they could hear a baby crying in the area. Unable to locate.
Feb. 21
12:56 AM – Officer observed a vehicle pull into the parking lot of a church in the 900 block of N. Teel Dr. and turn off the vehicle. The male driver was identified. All was okay.
5:07 AM – A white truck was all over the roadway and driving on the wrong side of the road in the 1500 block of Hwy. 173. Officer made a stop in the 200 block of E. Hondo Ave. The elderly male driver was confused and transported to Audie Murphy by EMS.
11:15 AM – A request was made for officer to make location in the 100 block of Renfro and speak to parent.
6:30 PM – Officer dispatched to the 200 block of W. Coker Ave. in reference to an intoxicated male causing problems. Officer made location; the male subject left the property for the day.
Feb. 22
2:00 AM – Complainant in the 100 block of Mobile Parkway advised unknown person(s) have been knocking on the trailer.
10:08 AM – Employee requested officer for an upset patient. All was okay.
1:32 PM – Nine municipal warrants were served on a female subject.
4:35 PM – Complainant in the 700 block of Ross reported a male wearing a red jacket who was knocking on doors. Officer made contact; everything was okay.
7:50 PM – Officer dispatched to business in the 700 block of N. Teel Dr. for a disturbance between customers. A female subject was yelling at other customers. Officer made location and separated all parties. An emergency detention was performed on a female subject, who was transported to University Hospital.
