Devine hosting first cross country meet in 25 years this Saturday

Arabian cross country runners Abigail Whitaker, Brianna Bernal, Espi Mendoza, Victoria Whitaker, and Brooke Runyan.

This Saturday, September 16th the Cross Country teams will run in the Devine Invitational on the Devine High School campus near the football practice field. This is the first time since 1992 that Devine will host a meet with over 15 teams expecting to compete.
The course will start on the varsity practice field and run around the high school parking lots and into the adjacent field. The finish line will be located on the old practice field next to the softball stadium.
A great spectator spot will be along CR5710 where the athletes will run a portion of the race. If you have never witnessed the excitement of a cross-country race, now is definitely the time. The entire community is invited to come out to support your Arabians, Warhorses, Colts and Fillys. Spectator parking will be in the high school student parking lot.
The varsity girls will start at 8:30am, followed by the JV girls at 9:00am, the varsity boys at 9:30am, the JV boys at 10:00am, the entire 7th grade at 10:30am, and the entire 8th grade at 11:00am.
The booster club will have a concession stand set up at the softball field for drinks and snacks. Please come out to support the Devine Cross Country teams in their first home meet in over 25 years.
