Devine Hospice charitable donations top $138,000

Devine Hospice has released it’s annual finances disclosing the good they’ve been able to do this year. Day in and day out volunteers work to sort through donations and restock the shelves at the best little thrift store in South Texas! This year, their donations to charities local and national totaled $138,000.
Among the local charities they were able to donate $1,500 to HANK (Helping Abused and Neglected Kids in Medina County), $5,500 to Bigfoot Fire Department, awarded $6,000 in scholarships to local students, $2,000 to Mission Devine, among many others (which can be seen in the full financial statement on page 7.
They were also able to pay $70,954 in medical expenses for local people in need of assistance.
Hospice also supports larger charities such as St. Judes ($10,000), VNA Hospice ($10,260), and many others which can be seen on page 7.
