City of Natalia enters Stage II water restrictions

The City of Natalia is in STAGE 2 Drought Restrictions. This is implemented when the Edwards Aquifer observation well level reaches 650 feet.
There are no Drought Surcharges in effect. Drought Surcharge Rates do not get applied until Drought Stage 3 conditions are met.
Drought Stage 2 Restrictions: a) Waste of water is prohibited at all times; b) Reduce any non-essential water usage; c) Use of water in a, indoor or outdoor, fountain or pond for aesthetic or scenic purposes except where necessary to support aquatic life is prohibited; d) Use of water to wash down buildings or structures for purposes other than immediate fire protection is prohibited; e) Use of water to wash down any sidewalks, walkways; driveways, parking lots, tennis courts, or other hard-surfaced areas not in any harm of health or safety is prohibited. f) All non-public swimming pools must have a minimum of 25% of the surface area covered with evaporation screens when not in use. Inflatable pool toys or floating decorations may be used to accomplish this. g) No bulk water sales will be authorized. h) Residential use of water to wash any motor vehicle, motorbike, boat, trailer, airplane or other vehicle is only allowed on your designated watering day and times; and must only be accomplished by a hand-held hose or bucket. Water must not runoff into the streets. i) Once a week landscape irrigation watering is an effect. Watering is allowed only between the hours of 3:00 a.m. – 8:00 a.m. and between the hours of 8:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. on your designated watering day. Watering outside of these designated hours and days is prohibited. (Numbered Streets watering day is on Saturday, while Named Streets watering day is on Sunday.)
Violation of Restrictions: 1st Violation – Written notice of violation. 2nd Violation – A violation fee of $25.00 will be added to utility bill. 3rd Violation – A violation fee of $50.00 will be added to utility bill. Continued Violations will automatically have their water meter removed and a $100.00 Violation & Reinstallation Fee will apply; in addition to any penalty.
