Devine ISD Board approves raises; 11 teachers retire or resign


Initially, Devine ISD wasn’t sure if they would be filling all positions of teachers and staff who had retired or resigned this school year, but Superintendent Scott Sostarich and Finance Director Shannon were happy to announce at the board meeting on June 5 that they will be able to fill those positions.

Robin Wheelus chosen as Educator of the Year by Texas Parks & Wildlife

Devine Ag teacher Robin Wheelus was honored at the annual FFA Banquet as the recipient of the Texas Parks & Wildlife Department Professional Educator of the Year award.

Devine High School Ag Teacher Robin Wheelus was awarded the Texas Parks & Wildlife Department Professional Educator of the Year Award (2017) at this year’s annual FFA Banquet last Friday, May 5, 2017.

DHS OAP presented moving performance of A Thousand Cranes

You could have heard a pin drop as the Devine High School One Act play set the solemn scene of Hiroshima, where the main character Sadako (Ariana Russell) suffered the long lasting effects of the atom bomb which fell ten years prior to this scene.
