Black Panther screening headlines upcoming teen programming @ the Driscoll Public Library

The Teen Library Club at the Driscoll Public Library has several fun events planned for the month of July that are just for teens!
Friday, July 13, 4:30 to 6:45 pm– The TLC will be showing Marvel’s Black Panther in our Program Room. Join us for this action packed film, as new Wakandan king T’Challa is drawn into a conflict that puts the fate of the entire world at risk. Faced with treachery and danger, he must rally his allies and release the full power of Black Panther to defeat his foes and secure the safety of his people.
The movie will start promptly at 4:30 pm, so be sure to arrive with plenty of time to grab a seat. Pillows, blankets, and fold out chairs are welcome, and snacks will be provided.
Thursday, July 19, 2:30 to 5:30 pm– The TLC will be hosting a Teen Free Afternoon. What is the Teen Free Afternoon? It’s a special time set aside just for teens to do what they want! Bring your friends and join the Teen Library Club in the Program Room for a fun and relaxing afternoon! This is a free, unstructured get-together to help teens get out of the house, away from the screens, and spend time with friends.
Teens are welcome to read, play games, draw or color, or just hang out. Feel free to bring hand-held gaming devices, board or card games, books, etc. This is your time to do what you want! Note that no Wi-Fi or internet access will be available.
Friday, July 27, 5:30 to 7:00 pm– The TCL will be hosting a fun-filled Game Night. Bring your friends and join us for some classic card and board games! Feel free to bring your favorite games or play some of ours. Snacks will be provided.
These events are open to teens in grades 7th through 12th. For any questions, please call the Driscoll Public Library at 830-663-2993, and ask for Stacy.
