Benefit for Bobby McConathy April 28

Bobby McConathy and family

There will be a benefit BBQ plate sale and drawing for Robert “Bobby” McConathy to help with medical expense on Saturday, April 28 from 11 am to 2 pm at the Lytle True Value located at 14940 Main Street. The plates are $10 and the tickets will also be on sale for $10 each.
Mr. McConathy has taught and coached for many years. He is also the voice of Pirates Football and has coached T-ball in Natalia.
Mr. McConathy is very active in his church, Trinity Baptist in Lytle. He loves cooking BBQ and has cooked for the football coaches at their Saturday lunch meetings for many years. He also BBQ’s for the school, FFA, County Show barn fund raisers and other functions. He’s made quite a name for himself as far as a BBQ cook. It’s hard to find any better. He is a role model and a mentor to his students, children and grandchild, not to mention many others in our community. Mr. McConathy was recently diagnosed with cancer and his students, co-workers and several others from our community have decided to come together and give back to him.
The drawing will be for a fire pit, a $200 gift card, a European mount, a 2 person/2 day hunt at Extreme Dove Hunts, a Glock 22 .40 caliber, a 2 person fishing trip and a custom knife. You do not have to be present to win. The drawing will be held at noon on April 28th at Lytle True Value.
All proceeds from the plate and drawing sale will help with medical expenses for Mr. McConathy. A Medical Fund Account will be set up at Community National Bank in his name for those who may wish to make a donation there.
“It just blows my mind how loving our community and district has been to the family. God bless in all that you are doing for our children as well,” stated Mr. McConathy
