Arabians leading District

The first half of the season is over for the Arabians with a win over Pearsall.

The Varsity Arabians are now 4-0 in district and 18-14 overall. Crystal City is 3-1, Hondo 2-2, Carrizo Springs 1-3, and Pearsall 0-3 in district play. Pearsall fell to the Arabians 25-22, 25-16, and 25-16 last Friday night.
“It took us a while to get going in this game. We came out slow and unaggressive, but I thought we picked up our level of play after the first set. It is great ending round 1 of district 4-0, halfway to one of our goals this year. We are just going to have to make sure we continue playing at a high level in the second round to reach our goal,” stated Coach Leigh Anne McIver.
Macey Hein had 22 assists, Alissa Stehle 4, Gabby Rodriguez, and Madison Pike 1 each. Stehle and Hein had 3 aces each, while Sierra Pompa and Sara Moreno had 1 each. S. Pompa had 13 kills, Pike and Jasmine Pompa 5 each, Hein 4, Stehle 3, and Dana Aaron 2. Aaron had 1 block. Moreno led with 19 digs, while S. Pompa had 15, Stehle 13, Rodriguez 10, Hein 6, Kaylee Howard 5, and Clarissa Zamora and Aaron with 1each.
Coming up for the Arabians is Hondo on October 12th, Holy Cross (home) Oct. 16th, Crystal City (home) Oct. 19th, and Pearsall on Oct. 23rd.
