Arabians go 3-3 in Navarro tournament

In the Navarro tournament last weekend, the Arabians went 3-3 winning. Devine lost to Jourdanton 0-4, Crystal City 5-10, beat Riverside 14-1, 20-5 Marion, 10-3 Brackenridge and lost to Navarro 0-3. “Combined the Arabians had 54 hits: 33 singles, 17 doubles, 1 triple and 3 homeruns and a team batting average of 380. Pitchers recorded 15 strike outs…This weekend the Arabian softball team took steps forward to becoming a better team. I also feel that with every practice and game, we will get better,” stated Coach Mark Mangold.
This was a great tournament for the Arabians to work off some dust and make some great plays. Jessie Ramirez had a batting average of 630, 3 singles, 2 doubles and 2 homeruns; Kendall Arche had a 500 batting average, 4 singles, 3 doubles 1 triple; Megan Runyan 400 batting average, 4 singles, 3 doubles; and Julie Ortiz 380 batting average, 4 singles 2 doubles. Halle Hagdorn hit a home run and then threw out a runner at home with bases loaded.
On deck for the Varsity Arabians is the Jourdanton tournament this weekend.
