A season-low score of 25 points by the Devine Arabian Cross Country team outdistanced themselves from runner-up Pleasanton who finished with 52 points. Brooke Runyan (3rd), Kelli Geyer (5th), Brianna Bernal (6th), Mari Murillo (8th), and Espi Mendoza (10th) took five of the top 10 spots overall.
“As far as the athletes, I could not have been more proud of their effort,” stated Head Coach Khera Vay. “The Arabian team’s goal going into our invitational was to defend their championship from the year before. They did just that. I enjoyed hearing coaches brag about our gap closure. We also had five Arabians finish in the top 10. That is a feat within itself.”
