The short-handed Arabian golf team played a practice round primarily against other district schools Monday at the Devine Golf Course. The team shot an honest 488 to finish in 3rd place behind 1st place Carrizo Springs (431) and Pearsall (460). Michaela Uriegas finished as the first place medalist with a final score of 92, Llano’s Katherine McDonough (96) and Leyah Wilson (100) claimed 2nd and 3rd place medalists respectively.
“Our girls will be fine once there are monitors out there to help with the honesty and integrity of the game,” stated Assistant Golf Coach Beaty. “We have prepared to play well, and we will play with complete confidence during the district rounds.”
District Golf will be held Monday and Tuesday at the Devine Golf Course. Four teams comprise District 29-4A (Carrizo Springs, Crystal City, Devine, and Pearsall). The top two teams advance to Regional in Corpus Christi on April 24-25. Tee time is 8:30am both Monday and Tuesday.
