Anna Louise Long Williams, our precious mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister, of Lytle, passed away on September 27, 2017 in San Antonio at the age of 90 years. One of eleven children, Anna was born January 31, 1927 in Yellow Springs, Ohio. She graduated from Spring Valley High School in Ohio. On January 30, 1945, she married the love of her life, Thurman “Tump” Edward Williams, in Kentucky. Anna and Tump were married for 51 years at the time of his death in 1996. In addition to caring for her husband and their three children, Anna was a dietician for the school cafeteria and for a food service laboratory. She was a member of Lytle United Methodist Church and Eastern Star.
Anna was preceded in death by her parents, Homer and Lelia Anderson Long; husband, Thurman “Tump” Edward Williams and grandson, Kevin Anthony Loessberg.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Paula Williams of Kemp, Texas; daughters and son-in-law, Toni and Kent Loessberg of San Antonio, Joy Williams of Taylor, Texas; six grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren, one sister and one brother; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Visitation was Tuesday, October 3, 2017 starting at 9:00 am at Lytle United Methodist Church, prior to the Funeral Service at 11:00 am. Interment followed at Lytle Masonic Cemetery.
Memorials may be made in Anna’s memory to the Lytle United Methodist Church or to the charity of your choice.
