Alicia Costilla Gamboa, of Devine passed away Wednesday, November 29, 2017, at the age of 90.
She was born February 21, 1927, in Devine, to Alfredo and Petra (Olivares) Costilla, both who precede her in death.
On July 24, 1947 she married Ignacio “Chero” Gamboa who also precedes her in death, along with her son-in-law, George Fernandez, Jr.
Alicia was a secretary for the Devine I.S.D and a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Dora Fernandez; grandchildren, Carmen Ramirez and husband Arturo, George Fernandez, Jr., Clarissa Morales and husband Raul; great-grandchildren, Cristina, Manuel, Camila, Jorge, Avianna, Joaquin; and her sister, Angelina Pulido.
Visitation was held Sunday, December 3, 2017 from 2:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a rosary recited at 7:00 pm at the Hurley Funeral Home Chapel in Devine.
Funeral Mass was held Monday, December 4, 2017 at 10:00 am at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Devine, with interment following at St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery in Devine.
