Adelina E. Perez, age 83, of Devine, Texas passed away peacefully from this life in her home on Monday, November 19, 2018.
Adelina was born in the small farming community of Pearsall, TX. She spent many years in San Antonio where she raised her family and eventually started a small janitorial business with her husband. Their success led them to Floresville, where they owned and operated Squeaks convenience store. Together, they retired to Devine, near where they first met. Adelina spent her retirement gardening her land.
Adelina is survived by her husband Mike Perez; daughters Sonia Perez (husband, Javier), Liza White (husband, Jim), Debbie Perez); brother Pete Espinosa; and sister Beatrice Carrizales. Grandchildren include Ana, Javi, Leticia, Addie, Laura, Sarah, John, and Lisa.
Adelina is preceded in death by her parents, Juan and Francisca Espinosa; and beloved brother, Rogelio Espinosa.
Visitation will be held Friday, November 23, 2018 5:00-9:00 PM with a rosary at 7:00 PM at Hurley Funeral Home, Devine, Texas. Mass will be celebrated Saturday, November 24, 2018, 10:00AM, St. Joseph’s Catholic church, with internment to follow, St Joseph’s Catholic cemetery.
