The Fillys had great games against Crystal City winning both games.
“The girls did an excellent job of coming out and playing to their potential,” Coach Megan Perez said.
Fillys Gold vs. Crystal City
The Gold team beat Crystal City in two games 18-16 and 25-8.
Offensively there were 10 aces made by Leah R. 7, Yesenia A. 2, and Rebecca M., Andrea R., and Joselyn G. each with 1.
Defensively, the girls also had 2 digs made by Rebecca and Andrea.
“We did well on certain skills we are working on and played well throughout the entire game,” Coach Perez said.
Fillys Maroon vs. Crystal City
The Maroon team beat Crystal City 25-5 and 25-15.
Offensively, these girls had 7 aces made by Bailey O. 3, Avery C. 2, and Amber D., and Korynn A. each with 1. There were 2 hits made by Korynn and Bailey. They had 4 assists made by Kristina M. 2, and Korynn and Zoe G. each with 1. They also had 2 kills made by Madison C. and Korynn.
Defensively, they had 3 blocks; Sierra, Cameron H., and Korynn each with 1. The Fillys had many blocks; Arsci L. 6, Bailey 4, Neenah G. and Kristina with 3 each, Avery and Kaitlyn M with 2 each and Amber, Cameron and Korynn with 1 each.
“We focused on taking care of our business and worked on specific skills that the girls executed,” Coach Perez said.
