The Fillys traveled to Carrizo Springs on Monday and won both of their games. The Maroon team won 2-1 and the Gold in 2.
“This was a good game to see these girls compete and come back from being behind,” Coach Megan Perez said.
Fillys Maroon
There were 3 aces made by the Fillys; Amber D. 2 and Bailey O.. They had 2 hits; Bailey and Korynn A. each with 1. The only assist was made by Amber. They were only two kills both made by Korynn.
“The girls had a slow start to this game,” Coach Perez said. “We lost the first match but then came back with intensity to win the next two matches.”
Fillys Gold
These girls had 17 aces; Joselyn G. and Karsyn B. each with 7, Abby D. with 2 and Rebecca M. with 1. They also had 15 serves; Andrea R. 6, Joselyn 4, Abby 3 and Leah R. 2.
“The girls did an excellent job of coming out early,” Coach Perez said. “From the beginning, they were making good passes and serves and transitioning properly. I am really excited to see these girls improve.”
