7th Grade Colts split games with Carrizo Springs, Pleasanton

7th Grade Gold
In a close low scoring game against Carrizo Springs, the 7th grade Gold Colts pulled the win 15-14. Devine trailed by one point at the end of each quarter except the final quarter. Joaquin Philippi scored 7 of the teams points, Demetrius Lopez had 4, Andrew Kohlleppel 2 and Rylan Mata had 2 points.
Monday night the Gold Colts played in Pleasanton and could not find their groove. Losing 38-12 was hard but the team learned a lot. Juan Lopez scored 5, Mata 4, D. Lopez 2 and Jack Schnieder had a free throw.
7th Grade Maroon
Carrizo Springs could not compete against the 8th grade Maroon team. The Colts dominated each quarter and with a final score of 44-28 their aggressive playing were unmatched. Jaiden Burford had 14 points, Caden Hanson 13, Aiden Zapata 9, Nicholas Ortiz 4, Jacob Antu 2, and Logan Camarillo 2 points.
Plating Pleasanton Monday night, the Maroon team could not find their rhythm. The final score was 52-13. The Maroon Colts didn’t give up but could not get their plays run and shots to go in. Zapata scored 4 points, Jathan Razo 3, Jaiden Burford 2, Aaron Saeriz 2, and Kaiven Alvarez had 2 points.
