4th annual Gift of Hope April 21

Joyce Elaine “Ma” Noblitt Haass

We only have “four days” until we kick off the Gift of hope at Divine Savior Lutheran Church located at 405 Ingram Road in Devine. BBQ by Heavy’s will be served from 11 am to 1 pm. This will take place in the fellowship hall. You can grab a to-go plate or eat inside or outside while you bid on the great merchandise we have for the silent auction. This includes a deer feeder to designer handbags. We are still taking drop off items at Bushel and A Peck, located at 516 N. Teel. Friday is the deadline for auction items.
Randy Brown, Sheriff of Medina County, and his amazing country western band will perform from 11 am to 1 pm. This event will be under a huge tent. Bring the family; great entertainment for all and plenty of room to listen to good old country music.
We will have three RV buses on site for The Southwest Blood and Tissue Center from 10 am to 2 pm. One pint of blood can save “three” lives. This is truly giving a gift of hope.
Joe Libby will perform two magic shows for the kids. Joe has traveled the world with his magic show as well as his comedy act. We will also have face painting for children of all ages.
The Gift of Hope will continue to bless the Haass family, by helping with medical bills that Joyce incurred during her illness. It’s time we pay it forward to a family that has made a difference in many lives. Make A Wish was Joyce’s passion. Claudia Carberry, who is paralyzed on her right side still remains in a nursing home. She has been totally confined to her bed for seven months. Claudia was always very active in her church. Life can change in a moment’s notice.
Divine Savior Lutheran Church would once again like to thank Devine News. They have always been with us through our four year journey of helping others during time of need. Life is full of blessings as well as tragedies. Devine News has been a ray of sunshine during a day’s gloom, as well as a blessing to all of our recipients and their families.
We hope to see you all at our 4th Annual Gift of Hope. One never knows when illness will strike. It’s time for all of us to pay it forward. In memory of Jessie Esch and Joyce Haass. For information call Robert Cappella at 20-771-7484 or Maria Cappella at 210-363-7484.
